Where banking-grade discipline meets business-focused compliance
FinComp Solutions Global Consultancy LLC provides independent consultancy, managed compliance, and regulatory advisory services to regulated businesses across the UAE. We believe robust regulatory frameworks are not operational hurdles — they are critical business enablers.
Large financial institutions have dedicated teams, specialist expertise, and advanced technology. Many SMEs and DNFBPs face the same regulatory scrutiny with far fewer resources. FinComp exists to close that gap — making bank-grade expertise accessible through practical, proportionate, and commercially focused solutions across AML/CFT, Sanctions, Export Controls, Trade Finance, and TBML.
To make Financial Crime Compliance a strategic advantage for every business we serve.
To be the trusted compliance advisor for regulated businesses, known for practical, independent, risk-based solutions.

Why FinComp
Businesses need more than compliance support — they need a partner who understands both regulatory expectations and commercial realities. We combine deep technical knowledge, international banking experience, and a pragmatic approach.
Banking-grade expertise
Built on 24+ years inside leading global institutions — the same discipline, governance, and technical depth expected in a bank compliance function.
Practical & proportionate
Solutions sized to your business model, regulatory obligations, and risk profile — so compliance supports the business rather than hindering it.
Independent & objective
As an independent firm, our recommendations are fact-based and tailored — practical guidance that supports informed decision-making.
Industry-focused
Sector-specific knowledge of the risks facing financial institutions, precious metals dealers, commodity traders, real estate, and fintechs.
An investment, not a cost
We frame every engagement as a strategic investment, not a cost of doing business — strong governance and well-designed controls build resilience, improve regulatory readiness, and enhance confidence with banks and partners.
A long-term partner
Effective compliance is built through collaboration, not one-off engagements. We work alongside clients for the long term.
Industries we serve
We advise organisations in regulated sectors with heightened financial crime risk, tailoring solutions to the business models and obligations of each.
FinComp's founding expertise is anchored in Trade Finance and Trade-Based Money Laundering. As the practice grows, we are building dedicated sector specialists across the remaining industries, so every engagement is led by genuine subject-matter expertise rather than a generalist approach.
Our delivery methodology
Every engagement follows a disciplined five-stage methodology — the same rigour applied inside global bank compliance functions, adapted for business-sized delivery.
Assess
Understand the business, products, jurisdictions and existing controls; identify gaps against current regulatory requirements.
Design
Build policies, risk assessments, screening scenarios and workflows around the client's actual risk profile — not a generic template.
Implement
Embed controls into day-to-day operations, train staff, and configure screening and monitoring processes.
Monitor
Ongoing oversight of alerts, escalations, control performance and emerging risk indicators.
Improve
Continuous refinement based on regulatory change and inspection findings — a living programme, not a static file.
Engagement models
Our signature solutions
Five core programmes, from day-to-day advisory to a complete compliance framework build — each priced and delivered as an investment in the business, not a compliance tax, under a clear engagement model.
Specialist Advisory™
Your day-to-day advisory partner
On-demand advisory for customer onboarding, high-risk customers, sanctions alerts, banking RFIs, trade transactions, TBML, export controls, STR/SAR assessments and policy interpretation.
Compliance Monitoring Programme™
Independent risk-based monthly monitoring
Customer and transaction file sampling, ODD and KYC reviews, sanctions screening oversight, STR/SAR advisory, compliance dashboards, remediation tracking and management reporting.
RegReady™
Inspection and audit readiness
A focused, time-bound engagement that keeps your controls inspection-ready — compliance health check, independent gap analysis, mock regulatory inspection, remediation roadmap, audit readiness assessment and Board reporting. The payoff: faster turnaround times, fewer RFIs from banks and auditors, and a compliance record that builds your brand's standing — which in turn means a smoother experience for your own customers too.

Add-on services
Delivered independently or as part of a broader compliance programme. Each engagement is scoped and priced individually, shared following an initial consultation.
Three areas of deep expertise
Each is an applied FinComp methodology, delivered through our standard Specialist Advisory and Compliance Monitoring plans — not a separate pricing tier.
CorridorShield™
Trade-Based Money Laundering is one of the hardest typologies to detect — and one of FinComp's core specialisms, developed through hands-on experience building TBML screening capability inside regional banks and engaging with UAE regulators on control frameworks.
SME trading houses carry the same underlying risk at lower volume. We start lean — red-flag checks inside existing documentation review and periodic sampling — and extend the same framework into continuous monitoring as volume grows.
TBML framework development
Define risk parameters, red flags, thresholds and corridor-specific controls.
Trade document review
Assess invoices, bills of lading and related trade documentation for pricing, quantity, routing and documentation anomalies.
Commodity pricing assessment
Identify potential over-invoicing, under-invoicing, unusual pricing and commodity mispricing risks.
Vessel & maritime screening
Assess port calls, vessel activity, sanctions exposure and trans-shipment risks.
Transaction analytics & monitoring
Translate risk indicators into monitoring scenarios, escalation triggers and ongoing surveillance.
BullionShield™
Precious metals is one of the UAE's highest-risk DNFBP categories. This specialism draws on senior banking experience overseeing precious metals and commodity trade financial-crime exposure — expertise rarely found in a boutique advisory.
The same methodology applies to any physical commodity supply chain, including oil and gas, agri-commodities and industrial minerals.
Supply chain due diligence
Validation of air waybills, customs declarations, refining certificates and bills of lading.
Responsible sourcing (OECD-aligned)
Management systems, supply chain risk identification and risk-response strategy built on the OECD 5-Step Due Diligence Framework for mineral supply chains.
Chain-of-custody reviews
Assessing traceability and supply chain integrity from mine to market.
Mine-to-market controls
Counterparty due diligence across extraction, refining, trading and distribution, including high-risk jurisdiction exposure.
Third-party audit readiness
Documentation and gap closure ahead of LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance and other accredited third-party supply chain audits.
Annual due diligence reporting
OECD Annex II-aligned annual reporting on supply chain due diligence, plus DPMSR regulatory reporting.
SanctionShield™
Sanctions and export control exposure has become a board-level risk as enforcement expectations evolve. Name screening — sanctions, PEPs and adverse media — is a horizontal capability: it has to operate as an independent, centralised utility across the whole business, not a control confined to one product line.
Our approach draws on experience delivering a Trade Finance sanctions screening transformation at a regional bank, then applying it enterprise-wide — a programme that materially reduced turnaround times and unnecessary escalations while strengthening detection quality.
Sanctions screening advisory
OFAC, UN, EU, UK and UAE regimes — alert tuning, false-positive reduction and screening scenario calibration.
Export controls & dual-use goods
Assessment of controlled-goods exposure and dual-use classification risk in cross-border trade.
Screening optimisation
List-matching accuracy improvements, alias handling and alert disposition governance.
Investigation support
Root-cause analysis of near-miss cases and support for escalation and STR consideration.

Frequently asked questions
A few questions we hear often from businesses starting to think about their compliance obligations. If yours isn't answered here, reach out directly.
Does a newly registered company need to register on goAML?
If your business falls within a regulated category — a Financial Institution or a DNFBP — registration is generally expected shortly after incorporation, regardless of transaction volume. We handle registration, reporting workflow configuration and compliance officer onboarding as part of our RegReady™ and standalone goAML services. See our full goAML registration guide for who's in scope.
What happens if we've missed a filing or a deadline?
Outcomes depend on the regulator and the specifics, but the businesses that fare best are the ones already inspection-ready, not the ones scrambling. RegReady™ is built for exactly that — a focused, time-bound engagement that pressure-tests your controls and gets you inspection-ready before you're asked to be.
How long does goAML registration and setup take?
For a standard single-entity registration, we typically complete portal registration, reporting workflow configuration and compliance officer onboarding within a few working days of receiving your documents.
What's the difference between Specialist Advisory™ and Compliance Monitoring Programme™?
Specialist Advisory™ is your ongoing day-to-day advisory partner for policy, regulatory and ad hoc queries. Compliance Monitoring Programme™ is independent, risk-based monitoring of your existing controls — file sampling, screening oversight and management reporting. Many clients run both together.
Do you only work with large financial institutions?
No — our plans are risk-based and sized to the business, from lean SMEs and startups needing baseline compliance to financial institutions and trade finance groups needing full programme build and ongoing monitoring.
Is the information we share with FinComp kept confidential?
Yes. Every engagement is treated as strictly confidential, and any information you share is used only to assess and support your compliance needs.
Start with a conversation about your risk profile.
